Events & Activities

The Electrical Department conducts different activities to create awareness about Extra Curricular Activities. The various faculties of the department have presented/ published papers in national/international conferences. For all round development of the students various expert lectures/workshop, technical tours/industrial visits are organized in various areas regularly. The activities are as follows:

During Academic Year 2012-13:

  1. Newsletter “SHOCKWAVES” is published on 03/02/13 by Hon. Shri. Raosaheb D. Shekhawat, Managing Trustee.


  2. The student of Final year Electrical Engg. visited VIP Industry at Nashik on 28/01/13.
  3. The student of Final year Electrical Engg. visited Kerala & Kanayakumari from 02/01/13 to 11/02/13.
  4. Mr. D. U. Adokar (HOD) has attended the online workshop on “Research Methodology” conducted by IIT Bombay. He also Participated in one day workshop on syllabus structure framing for faculty of Engg. & Tech., NMU, Jalgaon.
  5.  Mr. V. S. Pawar (Asso. Professor) has attended the seminar on “SMART GRID TECHNOGIES” conducted by the Department of Electrical in NIT, Jaipur .
  6. Mr. M. M. Ansari (Asso. Professor)  have attended the Five day short term course on “Matlab based Electrical system modeling & implementation of advance control algorithms” organized by the department of electrical NIIT, Rourkela.
  7. Mr. V. K. Patil (Lecturer) has attended the workshop on “MATLAB” conducted by the Department of Electrical in SSGB COET Bhusaval .
  8. The faculty members of the department has actively participated in Two Days Workshop on Aakash Education conducted by IIT Bombay.
  9. Department has conducted two Expert lectures of the following Professors:
    1. Prof. Dr. P. R. Deshmukh  (Prof. P. D. Polytechnic, Amravati
    2. Mr. Nitin Dharamadhikari, GM, Tata Motors, Pune.
  10. Purchased 35 Computers with latest configuration for computer lab of the department.
  11. Guest lecture by distinguished alumni of First batch of the dept.
    • Mr. Sunil Pandey (Working at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, UK)
    • Mr. Vishal Jawale (Pilot, Air India)
  12. Alumina Lecture by Mr. M. Siddique, Assistant Manager, Brunel, MNC (Netherland based)
  13. Industrial tour to the 400 KV  receiving station, Khdaka & Changdev for SE students.
  14. The department has organized four days workshop on "PLC & SCADA" by Electrosoft  Systems for BE
  15. The department has organized one day Free seminar on "PLC & SCADA" by Prolific Systems, Pune
  16. Mini Project Competition at departmental level for SE & TE. 
  17. The department has organized Parents Meet at Departmental Level
  18. The department has organized Fresher’s Party for welcoming Second Year Students.
  19. Softskill Training are organized for SE, TE, BE for improving communication skill, Stage Daring, Active Participation.
  20. Poster Presentation at the departmental level.
  21. Aptitude test at the departmental level.
  22. Celebrated Teachers and Engineers Day.
  23. Under EESA the following activities are organized for motivating students
    • Group discussion
    • Quiz Competition
    • Rangoli & Sketch Competition
    • Pick & Speak Competition

During academic year 2010-11:

  1. Award of Gold Medal by  university to Miss. Gopi Dixit for securing Ist Rank
  2. Award of Gold Medal by  university  Miss. Aparajita Priyam for securing Ist Rank
  3. Participation of Mr. Nitin Mohurle and Mr. Bhupesh Patle at International level event at IIT, Chennai ,on working model of  “Heat Retention Solar Cooker”
  4. Participation  of  student at Elecrama-12  an International Event at Mumbai, Total finance of Rs.30000/- from  ELECRAMA to students.
  5. The department has published the first International journal Pratibha- IJSSBT under the Editor (s)-In-Chief by Prof. Dr. Kishor S. Wani & Prof. Dr. S. K. Mittal.
  6. Number of Papers Published by the departmental faculty in conference.

  8. HVDC Design IIT, Kharagpur by Mr. Nitin Mohurle of BE.
  9. Two Days National workshop on “Advances in Power Electronics and its Applications”0n 15th & 16th March 2012.
  10. Participation of seven project groups at K K Wagh Engg. College, Nasik.
  11. First Ranking at university exam Nov/Dec 2012 by Miss. Komal Mane.
  12. Selection of nine students In Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd., Indore
  13. Two days national level workshop on Cyborg by Kyrion Technology, IIT Kharagpur.
  14. Paper Presentation at the departmental level
  15. Poster Presentation at the departmental level.
  16. Aptitude test at the departmental level.
  17. Celebrated Teachers and Engineers Day.
  18. Industrial Tour of BE at Elmech Engineers Dhule, followed by visit to historical places and museums at Bangalore, Ooty, Mysore.

During academic year 2010-11:

  • Prof. D.U.Adokar is awarded  Indo-Nepal Ratan International Award in the Month of Dec. 2010
  • The paper titled “ A case Study on Comparison of LVDS & HVDS in Agricultural Sector” by Prof. D. U. Adokar and Mr. S.M. Shembekar has been selected for publication in "INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND APPLICATIONS IN ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES" ISSN: 0974-3588, April-2010.
  • Department has conducted two Expert lectures of the following Professors:
    • Prof. Dr. A. G. Thosar (H.O.D. Electrical Engg. Department, GECA )
    • Prof. M. A. Beg (SSGMC, Shegaon)
  • The department has organized four days workshop on "PLC & SCADA" by Prolific Systems, Mumbai
  • Paper Presentation at the departmental level

  • Aptitude test at the departmental level
  • Celebrated Teachers and Engineers Day.
  • Visit to POH, Bhusawal for B.E. Students
  • Visit to Aurangabad and Jayakwadi Dam, Paithan for B.E. Students.
  • Purchased 15 Computers with latest configuration for computer lab of the department

During academic year 2009-10:

  • The four students, Ms Gopi Dixit, Ms Vindhya, Mr.Swapnil Mohite and Ms Shubhangi Yesekar of final year have participated in National Level Project Exhibition which was held at KK Wagh College of Engineering Nasik. These students have got third prize of Rs.20000/- for their project entitled’ Van De Graff Generators.
  • Mr.Tushar Bhat of final year student has securedt second prize of Rs.1200/- for presenting paper at Government Engineering College, Jalgaon.
  • Mr.Shailesh Pande and Mr.Kshitij Nilank, student of third year have secured prize for presenting paper at Government Engineering College Aurangabad.
  • Mr.Abhishek Kumar and Mr. Nitish Kishore have secured second prize for presenting paper at Government Engineering College Aurangabad.
  • Mr.Hemant Sharma, Mr.Nachiket Tayade, Vishal patil, Mr.Vaibhav Ghodeswar of final year students have secured second prize in project competition at university level conducted at Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon.
  • The final year student, Ms.Gopi Dixit, secured First Rank in the university  April/May -2010 examination by scoring 81.53 % marks.
  • The department has maintained 100 % result at final year in the second consecutive year.
  • The students of the department have presented papers/ participated in various national level events and won the prizes
  • The four students of the department have been selected in as Sub-Engineer in Electricity Board of Maharashtra for the year 2009-2010
