Department of Electrical Engineering
Events & Activities:

The Electrical Department conducts different activities to create awareness about Extra Curricular Activities. The various faculties of the department have presented/ published papers in national/international conferences. For all round development of the students various expert lectures/workshop, technical tours/industrial visits are organized in various areas regularly.

The activities are as follows:

During academic year 2010-11:

• Prof. D.U.Adokar is awarded  Indo-Nepal Ratan International Award in the Month of Dec. 2010
• The paper titled “ A case Study on Comparison of LVDS & HVDS in Agricultural Sector” by Prof. D. U. Adokar and Mr. S.M. Shembekar has been selected for publication in “INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND APPLICATIONS IN ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES” ISSN: 0974-3588, April-2010.
• Department has conducted two Expert lectures of the following Professors:
  • Prof. Dr. A. G. Thosar (H.O.D. Electrical Engg. Department, GECA )
  • Prof. M. A. Beg (SSGMC, Shegaon)
• The department has organized four days workshop on “PLC & SCADA” by Prolific Systems, Mumbai
• Paper Presentation at the departmental level
• Poster Presentation at the departmental level
• Aptitude test at the departmental level
• Celebrated Teachers and Engineers Day.
• Visit to POH, Bhusawal for B.E. Students
• Visit to Aurangabad and Jayakwadi Dam, Paithan for B.E. Students.
• Purchased 15 Computers with latest configuration for computer lab of the department

During academic year 2009-10:

• The four students, Ms Gopi Dixit, Ms Vindhya, Mr.Swapnil Mohite and Ms Shubhangi Yesekar of final year have participated in National Level Project Exhibition which was held at KK Wagh College of Engineering Nasik. These students have got third prize of Rs.20000/- for their project entitled’ Van De Graff Generators.
  
• Mr.Tushar Bhat of final year student has securedt second prize of Rs.1200/- for presenting paper at Government Engineering College, Jalgaon.
  
• Mr.Shailesh Pande and Mr.Kshitij Nilank, student of third year have secured prize for presenting paper at Government Engineering College Aurangabad.
  
• Mr.Abhishek Kumar and Mr. Nitish Kishore have secured second prize for presenting paper at Government Engineering College Aurangabad.
  
• Mr.Hemant Sharma, Mr.Nachiket Tayade, Vishal patil, Mr.Vaibhav Ghodeswar of final year students have secured second prize in project competition at university level conducted at Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon.
  
• The final year student, Ms.Gopi Dixit, secured First Rank in the university  April/May -2010 examination by scoring 81.53 % marks.
  
• The department has maintained 100 % result at final year in the second consecutive year.
  
• The students of the department have presented papers/ participated in various national level events and won the prizes.
  
• The four students of the department have been selected in as Sub-Engineer in Electricity Board of Maharashtra for the year 2009-2010.
  
• The final year students have visited different Industries. They Visited Suzlon Power Infrastructures, Nandurbar, receiving staion Khadaka and VIP Industry, Nashik.
